What the number means

The scoring scale, in plain terms

Every score comes from the same 8-criteria test, whether the platform is a $29-a-month solo tool or an enterprise contract.

8.5 to 10
Excellent

Strong across all 8 criteria with no real weak point we could find in testing.

7.5 to 8.4
Good

Solid choice with one or two areas that fall short of the very best.

6.5 to 7.4
Solid

Does the job for the right use case, but shop around before committing.

Common questions

Before you trust a score

01

How is a FieldServicesHQ review different from a vendor demo?

We open a real trial account under our own name, pay for it like a business would, and run the actual workflow. A vendor demo shows you their best-case script. We show you what we actually hit.

02

What does the score out of 10 actually measure?

The same 8 criteria on every review: scheduling, mobile app, invoicing, reporting, integrations, support, pricing honesty, and setup effort.

03

Why are there reviews for the same platform aimed at different trades?

A platform that works well for HVAC does not automatically work well for landscaping. The trade-fit reviews test against a specific trade’s actual workflow rather than repeating the general review.

04

Do you review the mobile app separately from the main platform?

Yes, for the most-used platforms. The mobile app is what a technician actually touches in the field, so it gets tested on both iOS and Android as its own review.

05

What counts as an add-on review versus a full platform review?

Add-ons are paid upgrades sold on top of a platform you likely already use. We review whether the extra cost is worth it separately from the core platform score.

Not sure which review to start with?

Answer 8 questions and we will point you at the right platform first.
